After facing her end to envy and self loathing, Shiki’s tragic death earned her a second chance at life by way of the Reapers’ Game. Being thrust into such a situation, and into the body of her best friend, she was soon in rethinking her life (and death’s) choices. Her harsh feelings aren't gone, and she has her fair share of turmoil, but she's doing the best she can with every day that she has, and learning to love herself as she does

Because, in the end, what she values most is herself.

❀ The Real Me ❀

Shiki’s a petite girl, standing around 160cm (5'2"), weighing 110lbs. She has long brown hair, reaching down to the middle of her back. Her eyes are hazel and she wears glasses; despite her interest in fashion, she often dresses in simple, reserved attire, though she'll occasionally wear kimono when feeling confident enough (notably, right over left.) The band she wears on her finger is a promise ring Neku gave her three years ago. Lastly, she’s almost never seen without her beloved, handmade plush, Mr. Mew.

During the Reapers’ Game, while she was in Eri’s body—Shiki presented herself as a bubbly, cute, and outgoing individual. However, this doesn’t hold true to her living personality, as she was only acting like her best friend upon gaining the self-confidence that came with a new face. Instead, she’s actually fairly shy and timid with those she’s unacquainted, and possesses a very depressive aspect buried deep in her personality. Regardless, she’s soft of-heart toward the people she cares about, and would give up anything for her friends.

❀ Endlessly, From Today ❀

She’s eighteen-years-old, born on October 12th, making her a Libra. Accordingly to her age, she’s has graduated high school, and instead of continuing her education, she's already working in the fashion industry, as the lead designer of Gatto Nero.

Shiki is bisexual/demi-romantic, letting her emotions dictate whom she’s attracted to. She has romantic feelings for Neku, whom she's in a relationship with.

While undiagnosed, she suffers with Borderline Personality Disorder, and her illness tragically got the best of her, resulting in her entry to the Reaper’s Game. Shiki's death was suicide.

Her favorite brands are D+B and Joli Becot, though she doesn’t often wear clothing from the two lines, as they’re iconic for showing more skin than she’s comfortable with; she mostly wears Natural Puppy. Ironically, she doesn't wear much Gatto Nero, as she isn't what she'd consider her target demographic.

Her favorite colors are chartreuse and light pink. Too bad she’s a winter.

If there’s anyone who knows every aspect of who she is, it’s Mr. Mew. He’s been with her through everything. Needless to say, he’s her security blanket, even as she's gotten older.

She is the type of person to see the best in everyone, often to her detriment.

As Shiki posses the ability to free a trapped soul, a feat only Angels are capable of, she's unknowingly Angel adjacent.

She founded Gatto Nero when she was going on seventeen-years-old, and she's the brand's lead designer, however, due to the issues she has with her self image, she tries hard to stay out of the public eye.

Her entry fee being her own appearance, despite disliking the person she was, stemmed from the fact that she really, truly cherished the person she wanted to be.

🌻 Firstly, this blog contains major end-game spoilers for The World Ends with You (including the anime adaptation,) and its sequel, Neo: The World Ends with You.

🌻 This is an independant roleplay blog for Shiki Misaki from TWEWY. While I commonly portray Shiki in her RG body, I’ll gladly play her in her UG from as well should you perfer.

🌻 As for a set verse, my Shiki is namely post-Neo centric. Since TWEWY is canonically multiverse, it’s important to note that this blog vaguely follows the main storyline, though unless its relevant to a thread, I don't put much emphasis on verse.

🌻 To note, I am slightly canon divergent, as the personality I portray her having is somewhat different than the one she’s seen with in the first game, since I interpret the "real" Shiki as more reserved and modest. I also have altered her appearance slightly.

🌻 In regards to both following and interactions, I’m somewhat selective, but I avoid mains/exclusives. If I can see you think and care about your muse(s), that’s usually enough to warrant a follow-back from me. I interact with canon characters, OCs, multi-muse blogs, and characters from other fandoms.

🌻 This blog is multi-ship; my OTP is and always will be Neku/Shiki, and I will only be writing it with @shibuyacrossed, however I don't mind interacting with other Nekus. I also ship Shiki with Kairi, Eri, Riku, Beat, and many other characters.

🌻 There will be absolutely no NSFW here, in neither written nor visual content. I am twenty-eight years old out-of-character, and I have no interest in writing smut of a girl ten years my junior. If you're seeking my blog out for such content, do not follow me.

🌻 In general, I keep out-of-character interactions with people under the age of eighteen limited, and I will not write ship with minors at all, even if your muse is older than Shiki.

Neku Sakuraba | @shibuyacrossed ♡

Shiki's beloved partner, best friend, and significant other. Neku was the first person she confided in about her crippling self-esteem issues and insecurity, and he continues to be someone she can rely on and feel valued by. While she'll still tease and terrorize the poor boy for fashion choices, Shiki cherishes his companionship endlessly. She would do anything for his happiness, and even after his three year disappearance, she's deeply in love with her very important person. The band she wears on her pinky is a promise ring he gave her when they were fifteen, and she never takes it off.

Daisukenojo "Beat" Bito | @skater-brain ♡

Bringing a whole new meaning to "it's complicated", Beat and Shiki found themselves drowning in a mutual abandonment when their former Partner vanished for three years. For better or worse, they found solace in one another, taking their relatively calm and easy-going friendship to something much more intense. While she truly adores her silly boy, his reckless behavior drives her up the wall and plays negatively to her fear of abandonment. One minute they're embracing, the next they're shouting at the top of their lungs.

The darling old man Shiki adopted as her father, Mr. H is someone that she, quite literally, owes her life to. He's been a constant source of guidance and comfort throughout the years, both in her personal life and her creative passions — as these two are much more alike than one might first assume. Back in her high school, she worked as his employee at the Wildkat, and she still misses the simplicity of the days she spent with him. Needless to say, at this point, she considers him a member of her family.

More commonly referred to as “Mr. Minamimoto”, Sho is a new friend of Shiki’s, whom she finds herself very growing more fond of each time they meet. While the truth of his background and history are still somewhat shrouded in mystery, she’s enjoyed their talks and finds him easy to trust. He’s a complicated person, but she thinks of him as friend regardless. He’s rather cat-like, and reminds her of Mr. Mew.

Well, if Mr. Hanekoma’s her adopted father, she’s not at all sure what that makes Joshua. His devious nature and inclination for causing mischief can grate on her at times, and she feels like she constantly needs to remind him to be nice—but she still considers him someone to be respected, and you could even say she feels comfortable confiding in him.

A gal pal and long time friend of Shiki’s. While they’re about as different as night in day in terms of both personality and interests, they’ve made for surprisingly close friends, and she knows Nicole will always be there when she needs her. Bless this girl foe putting up with all the benign and obvious questions she asks about video games.

A shy young girl Shiki had a chance meeting with recently. Learning of her history in the Reapers’ Game and the time she worked with Neku—Shiki feels a great deal of gratitude and companionship with Shoka. They became fast friends, and her love for Gatto Nero was flattering to say the least.

Hikaru Takeda | @aceparagon

A beautiful woman and good friend of Shiki’s, who’s also someone she finds herself looking up to. While Hikaru is absolutely someone she’s able to rely on, she feels as though she puts others before herself to her—particularly to her detriments at times. She dotes on Shiki as though she’s a younger sister or daughter, but she hopes she’ll be able to return the favor one day. She hopes to be like her when she grows up.

It’s hard for Shiki to accurately express how she feels about Joshua. Given the difficult history he shares with their mutual Partner, Shiki finds herself questioning his decisions and morality. Needless to say, it’s complicated that she can’t justify disliking him either. She doesn’t mind sharing Neku with him, but she’s also ready to slap him on the wrist at the first sign of trouble.
